Travel itinerary
Since 2014, it has been possible to walk an additional 1.5 km to reach the look-out tower on the top of Mt Špičák (1,202 m).
Since the lakes are in a national nature reserve, walking off the marked trails is not permitted. (Simply, wildlife should be left alone in their ancient homeland!)
Interestingly, the main European watershed runs between the lakes, so the water from the lake of Černé Jezero flows into the North Sea, while that from the lake of Čertovo jezero runs into the Black Sea via the River Danube.
