Rangers are legally empowered to:
a) Identify persons who violate nature protection regulations;
b) Impose and collect fixed penalties (tickets) for offences concerning nature protection;
c) Enter private properties under conditions set out in Act No. 114/1992 Czech Law Coll., on Nature and Landscape Protection;
d) Detain persons whom they catch violating legal regulations on nature and landscape protection, in order to establish their identity and hand them over to authorities of the Police of the Czech Republic; persons caught are obliged to obey;
e) Request assistance or cooperation of authorities of the Police of the Czech Republic or municipal police, as appropriate, if they are unable to ensure fulfilment of their obligations using their own powers and means;
f) Stop the disturbing activities.
In their activities, Rangers are required to:
a) Identify themselves with service cards and wear the official badge;
b) Monitor compliance with the regulations on nature and landscape protection;
c) Report forthwith any and all defects, deficiencies, and damages to the establishing authority or to authorities of the Police of the Czech Republic or relevant state administration authorities, as appropriate.
