About the center
This seasonal visitor centre is located in the Šumava Protected Landscape Area near the village of Kaplice u Zátoně at the foot of Mt Boubín.
The exhibit focuses on the Boubín Mountains, the history of the Boubín region, the Boubín primary forest and other protected areas in the vicinity, the history of the timber industry in the Boubín area, the faunal and floral life of the region, and other interesting information.
What the centre offers
- There is a display area focusing on the protected areas and surroundings of Mt Boubín.
- There are a number of learning and discovery opportunities, including the use of audiovisual equipment for watching selected videos or listening to tall tales associated with the region.
- Children will be surprised by figures of pixies.
The centre is wheelchair accessible, including the public toilet.
