About the center
Center has been built for wide use in the rescue of disabled wildlife and the environmental education of visitors.
The way the pens, enclosures, and aviaries are furnished enables high-quality care for every wild animal affected.
The centre runs on renewable energy and the behind-the-scenes facility is a low-energy building. In this way, the project combines the use of the latest technology, conservation, and management of disabled wildlife.
The site was chosen due to the favourable location of the central point in response to veterinary services with full-range equipment.
What the centre offers
- The base building with aviaries with a screening room for environmental education, a quarantine facility, and a feed mice breeding area;
- Out-of-scene facility with a veterinary room, feed preparation room and stores, office, and a social room;
- Rehabilitation & flight-training aviary, which is used to increase the fitness of the treated animals before releasing them into the wild.
- The fenced area (about 7 ha) in Klášterec where the centre is located enables further use and development stemming from the operation of this type of facility.
